If you don't see an exclamation point, but the printer does not print the test page, right-click the printer and select "See What's Printing.

Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your computer before giving up on it. Repeat the process for each copy, if you conclude the original printer does not work. Locate a copy that works and keep that copy. Click "Yes" in the confirmation window. At this point the printer is removed from your computer, and you will no longer be able to print to it.
