If you don't see an exclamation point, but the printer does not print the test page, right-click the printer and select "See What's Printing.

Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your computer before giving up on it. Repeat the process for each copy, if you conclude the original printer does not work. Locate a copy that works and keep that copy. Click "Yes" in the confirmation window. At this point the printer is removed from your computer, and you will no longer be able to print to it. For a lot of people, this is a sufficient stopping point.

But the driver is still on the computer, and if you have been trying to re-install the printer but keep encountering an error, then it could be an issue with the driver.

So you can follow the steps below to delete the print driver as well. Step 6: Click another printer icon once to select it, then click the Print Server Properties option in the blue bar at the top of the window.
